Something New

You made this out of an old shipping pallet?  Cool, I love it.
Reclaimed Hickory Serving Tray 11 1/2" x 18 1/2"

Let's take a look at how you did it!
First, cut up an old shipping pallet....really?
Yes, that's how it started.  The hickory (we at least think it's hickory) is looking pretty good.  One clamped up and one ready to be be cut to length.

Looks like we are making 2 and the
pieces are coming together.
Test fit.
Bottom needs to be trimmed.
Ready for finish, starting with the bottom.
What a difference a little Watco Danish Oil makes!

Something new from something old, Voila!
Champagne for the Grammy's? Sure.

Yes, shapes are happening!

The first is designed as a Christmas gift for a family member...can you guess what one of her favorite things to collect is?
Rustic Cherry, see the grain variation? Love that.
This side wins me over, I am drawn to the character of the wood.

Let's not stop there!
