The Preston and The Kelly

Re-introducing the Preston, with a twist!  Small routed notches to make this larger cutting board easier to pick up.  Radius corners as before and routed drip edge, just on one side.
Shown in reclaimed white oak, quite the character in these!
Until I see the Maple-Walnut Preston, the all walnut is my favorite!
Now, introducing the Kelly, shown in rustic cherry, I LOVE it!
Same size as the Preston, 16" x 22" x 1 1/8" with the routed details and a pond.  Made for our friend Kelly.
The Preston & The Kelly Cutting Boards
are made to order,
$100 Each + Shipping.

Update, our Kelly is 7 weeks old, 5/5/14, look at the depth of color, I love it.

Something New

You made this out of an old shipping pallet?  Cool, I love it.
Reclaimed Hickory Serving Tray 11 1/2" x 18 1/2"

Let's take a look at how you did it!
First, cut up an old shipping pallet....really?
Yes, that's how it started.  The hickory (we at least think it's hickory) is looking pretty good.  One clamped up and one ready to be be cut to length.

Looks like we are making 2 and the
pieces are coming together.
Test fit.
Bottom needs to be trimmed.
Done.
Ready for finish, starting with the bottom.
What a difference a little Watco Danish Oil makes!

Something new from something old, Voila!
Champagne for the Grammy's? Sure.
