Someone "you know who" continues to surprise me with his design eye...not keeping it simple, but keeping it incredibly creative.

1st coat of mineral oil starts to bring out the beautiful wood grain. 2 more coats to go!

Back to the Boards

Planning ahead (this time) for upcoming craft fairs, we are back to stocking up on the cheese/cutting boards. A few new designs and more of the start ups, we'll be in good shape.

I'm sure a few hearts will make the grade, need to keep it fun after all.

Lots of paddles and small with notches, and many of the very practical rectangles - small - medium - larger - larger.

Something New

You made this out of an old shipping pallet?  Cool, I love it.

Reclaimed Hickory Serving Tray 11 1/2" x 18 1/2" 

Let's take a look at how you did it!

First, cut up an old shipping pallet....really?

Yes, that's how it started.  The hickory (we at least think it's hickory) is looking pretty good.  One clamped up and one ready to be be cut to length.

Looks like we are making 2 and the

pieces are coming together.

Test fit.

Bottom needs to be trimmed. 

Done.

Ready for finish, starting with the bottom.
